Ziggi’s + Mike's Hot Honey: “Unexpected Duos” Contest Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

1. Eligibility

The “Unexpected Duos” Contest (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of Ziggi’s Coffee and/or Mike's Hot Honey, their affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, and advertising or promotional agencies, and the immediate family members or members of the same household of such individuals are not eligible to participate. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and is void where prohibited.

2. Contest Period

The Contest begins on August 19, 2025, at 12:01 AM MST and ends on September 19th, 2025, at 11:59 PM MST (the “Contest Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will not be eligible.

3. How to Enter

To enter, visit ziggiscoffee.com/unexpectedduos during the Contest Period and submit a written or video story describing a real-life “Unexpected Duo”—a unique relationship, friendship, or partnership that is humorous, heartwarming, or inspiring. Photo and/or video uploads are optional but encouraged.

Each entry must:

Be original, appropriate for public viewing, and in line with Ziggi’s Coffee’s brand values;
Not include content that is offensive, violent, discriminatory, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate, as determined in Ziggi’s Coffee’s sole discretion;
Not infringe upon the rights of any third party, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

By submitting an entry, you represent and warrant that you have received permission from the individual featured as your "duo" and consent on their behalf to share the story and any images or likenesses included in the submission.

Submissions that include any of the following will be rejected or removed:

Violence – Graphic descriptions or depictions of violence, threats of violence, or content that glorifies harm.
Example: Graphic injury photos, “I beat up X,” or threats.
Foul and/or Abusive Language – Content that contains explicit profanity used to harass, degrade, or abuse another person. Explicit profanity intended for a mature audience only. Mild profanity in storytelling that is non-abusive will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Sexual and/or Explicit Content – Nudity, sexual acts, pornographic content, sexual exploitation, or sexual content involving minors. Intimate but non-sexual references (e.g., “We married in 2005”) are OK.
Agenda-Driving Content on Sensitive Public Issues – Posts that push a political, religious, sexual-orientation, human-rights, or other public policy agenda or solicit political/religious support or campaigning. We will not publish persuasive or advocacy messaging.
Examples: Political campaign messages, calls to action for protests, or statements advocating extremist ideology.
Harassment and/or Hate – Content insulting, demeaning, or attacking protected groups or individuals based on race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, etc.
Minors – Content featuring minors (under 18) requires parental/guardian consent. Sexual content involving minors will be rejected and potentially escalated to legal.
Defamation / False Accusations / Illicit Admissions – If a submission names third parties in a way that could be defamatory (accusing someone of a crime without proof) or describes ongoing criminal activity, we will not publish and will escalate to Legal.
Graphic Imagery / Disturbing Media – Any graphic content featuring bloody injuries or gore.
Threads and/or Credible Harm – If content includes explicit threats or indications someone is in immediate danger
Spam and/or Commercial Solicitations – Self promotional posts (selling goods, links to commercial sites) or clear spam.

Ziggi’s Coffee reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify or remove any entry that it deems inappropriate, harmful to the brand, in violation of these Official Rules, or otherwise unsuitable for publication.

No purchase is necessary to enter. Each entry must include the participant’s first name and email address and must acknowledge consent for Ziggi’s Coffee to publicly share the submission.

Upon submitting a valid entry, participants will receive a reward code, redeemable for one (1) free 16oz Mike’s Hot Honey Latte through Ziggi’s online and mobile ordering platform only. Reward codes are non-transferable and may only be redeemed once per person during the Contest Period.

4. Winner Selection and Voting Process

All eligible entries that meet the submission requirements outlined in Section 3 will be posted to a public gallery ziggiscoffee.com/unexpectedduos for the duration of the voting period. The general public will be invited to vote for their favorite submission based on creativity, originality, emotional impact, or entertainment value.

Voting will be open from August 19^th, 2025 to September 19, 2025. Limit one (1) vote per person, per day, or as otherwise restricted by the platform.

At the close of the voting period, the entries that have received the highest number of valid votes will be selected as the prize winners as follows:

The entry with the most votes will receive the Grand Prize.
The entries with the second through tenth highest number of votes will receive the applicable Runner-Up or Additional Prizes as outlined in Section 6.

In the event of a tie, Ziggi’s Coffee reserves the right to determine the final winner(s) at its sole discretion. Ziggi’s Coffee also reserves the right to disqualify votes that appear to be fraudulent, automated, or otherwise in violation of the intended fair spirit of the Contest.

5. Winner Notification

Winners will be notified via the email address provided at time of entry on or around September 24th, 2025. Winners must respond within two (2) business days of notification. Failure to respond in time may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner.

Ziggi’s Coffee is not responsible for any lost or misdirected communications due to spam filters, outdated contact information, or technical failures.

6. Prizes

Grand Prize (1 Winner):

A weekend trip for two to Brooklyn, NY, including round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and a pizza date at Paulie G’s pizzeria, the origin of Mike’s Hot Honey. Travel dates are Friday October 17^th thru Sunday October 19^th. Other travel details to be determined by Ziggi’s Coffee. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $2,500.
Free Ziggi’s for a Year (one free 16oz drink per week via the Ziggi’s Rewards program). Winner must be a Ziggi’s Reward member in order to receive and redeem free drink.
A year’s supply of Mike’s Hot Honey (one case of Mike’s Hot Honey).

All non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable. Ziggi’s reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value in its sole discretion.

7. General Conditions

By entering, participants agree to:

Be bound by these Official Rules;
Grant Ziggi’s Coffee and Mike’s Hot Honey a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, and publicly display their entry (written, audio, video, or photo) for marketing, promotion, or advertising purposes in any media without further compensation;
Waive any claims to royalties or compensation related to the submitted content;
Acknowledge that winning does not establish any employment, contractural or partnership relationship with Ziggi’s Coffee.
No cash value or subsitution. All prizes have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash. No cash or other prize substitution will be permitted, except at the sole discretion of Ziggi's Coffee, which reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

8. Limitation of Liability

Ziggi’s Coffee is not responsible for:

Late, lost, incomplete, inaccurate, or misdirected entries;
Technical or human errors that may occur in the administration of the Contest;
Failure of any electronic entry to be received due to technical problems;
Any issues related to prize delivery, travel restrictions, or changes in availability.
Not liable or responsible for any cyberbullying, defamation or other online harassment as a result of the promotion.

Ziggi’s reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or other factors impair the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Ziggi’s Coffee in its sole discretion.

9. Release

Winners will be required to complete and return a Declaration of Eligibility, Release of Liability, and, where permitted, a Publicity Release prior to receiving any prize.

10. Taxes

All federal, state, and local taxes associated with prize receipt and use are the sole responsibility of the winners.

11. Disqualification

Ziggi’s Coffee reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates these Official Rules or tampers with the entry process. Multiple entries from the same person will result in disqualification.

12. Governing Law

This Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
