Veterans Day Celebration At Ziggi's Coffee

At Ziggi's Coffee, community is at the heart of what we do, which is why we are honoring all the brave individuals who have or are currently serving our country this Veterans Day! As a small gesture of appreciation, please join us for a free 16 oz drink of choice on November 11th*.

In addition to our Veterans Day offer, we would also like to take this moment to recognize some of our franchise owners who have served: Melissa and Leslie (Chula Vista café), Preston (Wheat Ridge drive-thru), Mitch (W. 20th Greeley drive-thru), and share their stories. We are proud to have them a part of our Ziggi's Family. Thank you for your endless commitment to serving our communities.

Melissa and Leslie (Chula Vista café)

Meet our local franchise owners and United States Army veterans, Melissa and Leslie Malone-Montgomery, out of Chula Vista, California. Melissa served in the military for 12 years as a Human Resource Officer and has a degree in Spanish and Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Her partner, Leslie, served primarily as a Military Police Officer working out of various South Korea and Iraq locations.

Preston Silvey (Wheat Ridge drive-thru)

Preston, our local franchise owner out of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, completed the Marine Corps Officers Platoon Leader's Course while attending Colorado State University. In 2010, Preston was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Marines, where he served four years on active duty as a Military Police Officer and served as the Officer in Charge of the Military Working Dog Unit at Camp Lejeune, NC. In 2014, Preston left active duty as a Captain in the Marines and moved home to Colorado with his wife, Lindsey.

Mitch Burroughs (W. 20th Greeley drive-thru)

Mitch, our local franchise owner out of Greeley (W. 20th Street), Colorado, served on the USS Whipple (FF-1062) from 1981-1985 as an Operations Specialist. Mitch's home base was Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, although most of his time was spent in the South Pacific between the Persian Gulf and the Philippines. After completing his enlistment, Mitch returned to Colorado State University, where he completed a BA in Marketing and started a family with his wife.
